McBain Third Grade

Thank you to all of the fathers and daughters that came to the Annual 3rd Grade Father/Daughter Dance. We had a great time and we hope you did too! Friday is Chip and Dale day for Magical March is Reading Month. That means that we encourage you to dress up like another student so that you can be twins! We hope that everyone is enjoying the Classic Disney themed events here at McBain Elementary! Friday we are also having a special event with the Irish Dance troupe. They will be performing at 2pm for the entire elementary school. Next Monday, March 20th, is our Delayed Start. School begins promptly at 9:55am. There will be no breakfast that day. Running Club applications went home with your child last week. Running club starts on Tuesday, April 11th. Practices are Tuesdays & Thursdays. The club costs $25, which includes registration for McBain's 1st ever Color Run on May 20th! Your registration includes your Color Run bib, color packet, and t-shirt. It's going to be a

The McBain Lunch Bunch updates it on their Facebook Page monthly. Here's September's updates:  The first SANDWICH DAY  will be sub sanwiches, Sun Chips, side salad, fruit, and milk. The first LUNCH OF THE MONTH  will be egge patties, English Muffins, ham slices, Canadian bacon, has browns, fruit, and milk. Mother/Son Rollerdate is set for this Thursday, April 28 from 5:30-7:30 at Skatetricity in Cadillac, MI. We take the M-STEP Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week and next week. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest and makes it to school on time each day! The 3rd Grade Bookstore will happen next Wednesday. We will be pricing books on Friday, April 29th, and Monday, May 2nd. Please continue to send books in!

The registration period for McBain Elementary's kindergarten class for Fall 2016 has begun! Your child is eligible to attend school if he/she turns 5 years old on or before  September 1, 2016 .  Please call now to register your child.   231-825-2021 .

Upcoming Events: Monday, February 29 is Leap Day!  The last Leap day was in 2012 and the next Leap Day will be in 2020! Tuesday, March 1 kicks off March Reading Month for 2016!  More information will soon be coming about "Camp Read S'More" Thursday, March 17 is St. Patrick's Day.  Students are welcome to celebrate by wearing green to school. Saturday, March19 is our Annual Third Grade Father/Daughter Dance.
