Upcoming Events:

Monday, February 29 is Leap Day!  The last Leap day was in 2012 and the next Leap Day will be in 2020!

Tuesday, March 1 kicks off March Reading Month for 2016!  More information will soon be coming about "Camp Read S'More"

Thursday, March 17 is St. Patrick's Day.  Students are welcome to celebrate by wearing green to school.

Saturday, March19 is our Annual Third Grade Father/Daughter Dance.

Welcome Back-to-School! We are so excited to begin a new year with all of you! We use this page as a way to connect with parents and let you know of any upcoming news and events. The McBain Lunch Bunch updates it on their Facebook Page monthly. Here's September's updates:  The first SANDWICH DAY  will be sub sanwiches, Sun Chips, side salad, fruit, and milk. The first LUNCH OF THE MONTH  will be egge patties, English Muffins, ham slices, Canadian bacon, has browns, fruit, and milk. The registration period for McBain Elementary's kindergarten class for Fall 2016 has begun! Your child is eligible to attend school if he/she turns 5 years old on or before  September 1, 2016 .  Please call now to register your child.   231-825-2021 .

Weekly Update 11-12-14

Native American Dwelling Project A note about this project will be coming home with your child on Monday, November 18th.  We have been studying the Native American tribes that lived in Michigan.  At the end of the unit your child will be writing a report about one of the tribes.  They will need to construct a dwelling that their tribe lived in as their homework project. Delayed Start November 17th is our delayed start.  Please remember that school starts promptly at 10:00 AM.  Breakfast will not be served that day. Thanksgiving Break There will be No School on November 27th and November 28th.  Don't forget about the Craft Show on November 29th.  This will run from 9am-3pm. Book-It Calendars November calendars will be due at the end of the month.  The goal for this month is 250 minutes.
